In the heart of the Peak District, the cottage is situated adjacent to a dairy farm in the picturesque, small village of Flagg . Three good country pubs can be found within 1 mile of the cottage, with good local reputations for inexpensive food.

The cottage is a good base for exploring the area, standing approximately 6.5 miles equidistant from the Spa town of Buxton and the bustling market town of Bakewell

Bakewell holds it’s weekly market every Monday; a good opportunity to try the famous Bakewell Pudding.

Situated just outside Bakewell is Chatsworth House, the grandest and largest estate in Derbyshire. The house is open to the public from Easter until Christmas and the gardens are open all year round.

Buxton’s warm springs have been famous since Roman times. A day can be easily spent wanderings around the crescent and parks but there are also a wealth of activities for visitors come rain or shine.
